I am a minister.

I minister to the largest mission field in the world.

In a world of cynicism, I offer hope.
In a world of confusion, I offer truth.
In a world of immorality, I offer values.

In a world of neglect, I offer attention. In a world of abuse, I offer safety. In a world of ridicule, I offer affirmation.

In a world of division, I offer reconciliation. In a world of bitterness, I offer forgiveness.

In a world of sin, I offer salvation. In a world of hate, I offer God’s love.

I refuse to be dismayed, disengaged, disgruntled, discouraged or distracted.

Neither will I look back, stand back, fall back, go back or sit back.

I do not need applause, flattery, adulation, prestige, stature or veneration.

I do not have time for business as usual, mediocre standards,

small thinking, outdated methods, normal expectations,

average results, ordinary ideas, petty disputes or low vision.

My calling is to reach boys and girls for God.

It is too serious to be taken lightly, too urgent to be postponed,

It Is Good To Give THANKS In All Things!

I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving Holiday this week. Tomorrow it is back to school-back to our schedules. Another Holiday Season is here. Christmas is around the corner and then a brand new year!!!

Can't believe we are coming to the end of 2010! The year seems to have flown by!!! Soon we will usher in 2011. WOW!!! I know we've seen growth & seen our Ministry to Kids touch many kids lives with love & compassion to set their hearts on Christ!

This week is the last lesson in our Financial Peace University. What a blessing this series has been to our church family. We've had a great deal of excitement, participation & attendance during this series.

We have the month of December off for our teachers to enjoy family & to regroup for the new year.....this would be the time change the bulletin boards & decorate for the new year...... prepare for January when we begin the all church 21 day Daniel Fast.

The following semester that starts in February....we begin a study of the book of Hebrews. I love the book of Hebrews. The "hall of fame" of many Bible examples of lives changed and redirected toward serving the Lord and leaving a legacy. Easter try outs has begun. Looking forward to another great Easter Production.

**We appreciate all of our fabulous Children's Ministry team, teachers, office staff, Bro. Daniel our Children's Pastor & all who have a part in Nursery thru 6th grade~and Bro. Marco our Student Pastor for Jr & High School. You are a blessing to our church family!!!

FRIDAY DECEMBER 10th is the ALL Church Party for ALL TRIBES!

"Christmas Around The World"--bring your ethnic or family favorite foods and prepare enough food for your family & half of another. Includes a main dish, veggie or salad & dessert.

Vacation Bible School Was Awesome!

Thank you to all the Teachers & Support Staff that kicked off our August Vacation Bible School. Bro. Daniel our Children's Pastor was in the heart of it. Sis. Jolene was our Director. Sis. Michelle Barnes and team were the artists for the fabulous food that told the story of the lessons. Sam & Abbey Wu were a vital part of the team in many ways....arts, games, lessons...hard work. We had many great helpers and staff that we can't say enough about the results!!! I would love for you all to share your pictures on this blog. Add names to the list of those who helped to teach and assist.

Sis. Eugenia George~Teacher Of The Year Award!

We are very blessed at Spirit & Truth to have two Public School Teachers on our Teaching Staff. We all love the enthusiasm and genuine spirits of the Georges!!! They are wonderfully dedicated to ministering to the hearts of children and youth....and really to any person God bring into their lives. They have made International mission trips to China, France & various other outreach ministries during their summer vacation.......they love to work with our sponsored missionaries and to spread the Gospel. This year she joined Spirit & Truth's curriculum writing committee and we have heard great reports from the youth about her lessons being relavant and exciting. She is our featured--TEACHER OF THE YEAR! We appreciate the prayer, concern, feeling, thoughtfulness, creativity, time, talent, and treasure that Sis. Eugenia puts into her teaching ministry!!!!

A New School Year Begins!!!!

Dear Teachers,

Welcome to a new school year! 2010-2011! We have one more year to affect our children for Christ. We have another year to put the word into our Seniors who will be going out into the world and searching for their own gifts & callings....career paths and future plans will the focus of their time and direction. Give them your best!!!!

It's always exciting to make a new start. We appreciate all of your dedication to our Church Educational Ministry. This semester we will be having the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University for the Adults. And our curriculum for kids will be our foundational Bible Stories!!! Make the lessons your own and add to them to bring them to life!!! God Bless Each Of You during this next teaching season!!!

Theme for June & July is "FEARLESS"-Fearless Living~Fearless Church

Our theme for June & July will be Fearless. Design for your room set up can be extreme sports that have to do with Diving/Water, Ocean decor, Climbing/mountains...Hand Gliding. We will discuss--Why are we afraid? The scriptures where the Lord says that he will be there--Fear Not! We will be having two-"Fearless Church" services on Weds. Night. All classes will be in the Sanctuary for Fearless Worship Service. Our own young preachers will be preaching. Choir, specials....great church!!! That will be June 30th & July 28th. The other 7 lessons will be given to you by Sis. Deanna, who has been doing a great job writing our childrens curriculum. Veggie Tales has some great stories about not having fear. August will be another fill month.

Family Communion Service-Weds. May 12, 2010

May is fill month. We will not be having regular Wednesday Night Classes. This coming mid-week service is a family prayer and communion service.

Easter Drama~Road to the Cross! This next weekend

We need all of our members and staff to invite guests out to our Easter Drama and to be a part of one of the teams....greeting, breakfast, hostesses...etc... Everyone is important in making our guests feel welcome. Be helpful & aware of those around you. We are expecting an awesome & empacting Easter weekend!!
